Service Description
Sourdough 101: How to keep your starter Alive! Maybe you have a starter you are uncertain about and not sure what to do with it. Or maybe you are sourdough curious and just haven't taken the next step. Either way this class is for you. In this class we will cover the basics of the care and maintenance of a sourdough starter. During our four hours together, we will will also shape and bake a sourdough boule from dough that was mixed prior to class. Since sourdough requires an extended fermentation time, it is not possible to mix and bake the same dough in our time together. Minimum skill level: Beginner Topics we will cover: -What exactly is sourdough? -What are the health benefits of sourdough? -How to start a sourdough starter. -How to maintain and care for your starter. -How to properly put your starter in a timeout when you need a break from it. Students will leave class with the following: -a day 1 sourdough culture made in class along with instructions to perpetuate it. -a portion of an established starter from Tang & Sass -an allotment of flour to feed your starter for a few days. -a freshly baked sourdough loaf shaped and scored by YOU! Class includes light snacks and beverages. Menu: Country Boule, containing rye and wheat
Cancellation Policy
Class Cancellation and Refund Policy Tang & Sass Studio Cancellations: Insufficient Enrollment Sometimes, classes don’t meet the minimum number of participants needed. If this happens, we may need to cancel or reschedule. You can transfer to another class, get a credit, or request a full refund. Weather-Related Cancellations Your safety is our priority. If we need to cancel a class due to severe weather, we’ll let you know by phone or email. You can choose to receive a full refund or a credit toward a future class. Instructor Illness If an instructor is unwell, we might bring in a substitute or cancel the class. If we cancel, we’ll notify you and you can decide between a refund or a credit for another class. Student Cancellations and Absences Personal Cancellations Life happens! If you need to cancel, please let us know at least 7 days before the class starts to get a refund. Unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds for cancellations made less than 7 days in advance. No-Shows and Missed Classes We understand things come up, but we can’t provide refunds for no-shows or missed classes without prior notice. Refund Process - To request a refund, just email us at tangandsass@gmail.com. - We’ll process your refund within 14 business days and send it back to your original payment method. Exceptions - If you’re not eligible for a refund, reach out to us. We’ll do our best to fill your spot. - If we can find someone to take your place, we’ll give you a credit for a future class. - If we can’t fill your spot, we hope you understand that we can’t make exceptions due to the costs involved.
